Made-to-measure also known as bespoke tailoring are not just for afluent, although we have dressed a number of very well-known people in morning wear for a variety of important events many grooms request something didderent for their special Day.
Grooms wishing to wear a brand new garment made new and just for them can order a made-to-measure morning outfit then hand the suit back to us to go into our regular hire stock after their function. This enables them to wear a new outfit but they don't keep it and a lot less than buying outright. Many then decide to buy and if not they know the garments are still in stock if they wish to re-hire.
This is how it works:
The groom chooses a superb quality silk charcoal grey herringbone morning coat or one in black from pure new wool, as he prefers.
It is specially made for him, in his size, so he will be the first to wear it at the wedding ceremony and after the wedding, it comes back to us and becomes another of our regular hire garments.
If he wishes, he then has the option to purchase the garment as do many of our customers who regularly attend Royal Ascot or need morning wear on a regular basis so we select cloths which are acceptable at most formal occasions.
Please ask about our special prices for this bespoke service, available from Bartlett & Butcher, the made-to-measure experts in Hampshire (Hants), Surrey and Berkshire.
Because our hire wear garments are uniquely coded our customers will, whenever possible, be wearing the very same garments that they tried on when being fitted. Our regular customer get used to have the same garments knowing they have been dry-cleaned, pressed and tailored to the same spesification as they had the last time they hired.
Unless advised all our garments are in stock and impeccably cleaned and pressed in our own on-site dry-cleaning plant and tailored to fit in our in-house workrooms. Our complete control at every stage enables us to fulfil the trust to which our customers have grown accustomed for over half a century.
