Our garments are the best quality available and the dry-cleaning and pressing equipment meticulously maintained. Since Bartlett & Butcher’s present owners took over in 1989, they have worked tirelessly to maintain the high standards set by the founders.
From our main showroom based in Alton, Hampshire, we serve customers from around the world; orders come in from Australia, both North and South America, Canada and most European countries.
Customers in Hampshire (Hants), Surrey, Berkshire and both West and East Sussex find it easy to call in to view our range of more than 10,000 items, discuss their requirements with professionally trained and experienced staff and arrange an appointment to be fitted.
Easy access from the M3, M4 and M25 means we are conveniently placed for those based in and around Central London and the Home Counties. Counties like Kent, Dorset, Middlesex, Buckinghamshire, Herefordshire and Essex are within easy reach as are Heathrow and Gatwick airports; we regularly have clients flying in for weddings; collecting their outfits within hours of landing, having a final fitting and still “get to the church on time”.

Most weddings for which we supply outfits take place between London and the South Coast and between Brighton and Bournemouth, an area with numerous prime wedding venues. These wonderful settings attract Brides and Grooms from as far afield as the Midlands, Wales, Devon, Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire.
Meanwhile, our hire wear is worn at overseas weddings on all four continents and on cruises across the globe.
You’ll find plenty of parking outside and within yards from our spacious premises so picking up a single garment or lots of outfits for a wedding party simple and very convenient. Our busy customers do not have the patience to negotiate shopping malls and multi-storey car parks in towns like Guildford, Farnham, Basingstoke, Reading, Winchester, Bracknell and Camberley where collecting a suit can be a real hassle if not impossible.
Opening hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm five days a week. Outside these hours and on Wednesdays and Sundays we operate by appointment only. Saturdays are predominantly reserved for new weddings and fittings for customer who have travelled long distances.
